Five years after 9-11 the main focus of most media and web based news sources and here amongst bloggers and topics of most news sites are the issues surrounding terrorism.
But in the fight versus those who carried out these attacks on 9-11 – has left a group that has claimed far more lives lost in a battle almost as alarming in daily destruction of lives and it has gained new ground as attention is focused on battles and warfare versus al qaeda types – these groups have while been affected in their movements because of increased security and border protection and financial scrutiny- the drug cartels are also cashing in as police and other law enforcement resources are focused elsewhere.
Further, some amonst the terror supporters in afghanistan and elsewhere have turned to the narcotics trade as a major source of revenue for the things they do.
[] “… Pacific a new front in war on drugs The Age, Australia - that their intelligence has found most ice enters Australia through New Zealand after being produced in “superlabs” in China, the Philippines, Malaysia and Fiji … ” []
So as the place that was the World trade Center is filling the TV screens as all major TV Networks around the world troop to Manhattan to rent live shot space at one of the many sites overlooking where the towers once stood.Remember the other battle versus a scourge that in one week estimates say claims more lives than lost in all major attacks of those terror groups, Remember its another threat more likely to directly affect more lives – than any single act of terrorism can turn out – plus it supports and funds much of those who carried out the very attacks people commemorate this week.
just a reminder…
