Fil-Am Blogger says Bolante case “more than the it seems…”

A interesting item in the Blog of a Fil-am NY area community leader who says there is lot ridding on the case of ‘Joc-Joc” Bollante in the case being heard in the USA right now.

His suggestion is that reporters try and talk to the local ICE-DHS people at the Embassy.

[] … ” US Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the US
Embassy in Manila. You would get the scoop as to the
bottom of Bolante’s detention in LA. You have to do it
quickly to be ahead of the other journalists. ” …[]

I doubt you’d get much from the extremely overworked and understaffed people at the US DHS-ICE office in Manila who do the work of fifty men with the staff of well- lets say a lot less than that. Perhaps the Media here and those ‘stringers’ and Fil-am media outlest interested could hook up with Spokespersons in the USA of DHS-ICE there.

The guys here are pretty tighted lipped on anything – by rules of the game. However Mr. Policarpio is right that this is more than the ussual case for the CIS (new name for INS) on this case in the states.

there is a rush by some quarters to see Bolante gets asylum there is a rush by others to see him out of there and back here.

It is an interesting case to follow-up though am sure if you go check out the list of people mentioned on the site you’ll find out more.

Oh and ‘Jun’ is a little more ‘connected’ than the average blogger too – Gonzalo “Jun” Policarpio  credits include:

Ok, I’ll take his word for it that it is something a little more worth digging into….
