ASEAN SUMMIT: Venues secure says Philippine Nat’l Police

A security cordon of some 5,500  police and 3,000 troops has been placed around the venues of the ASEAN summit meeting in Cebu City in the central Philippines.

The venue also is protected by a no-fly zone with strike aircraft and helicopter gunships.

President Arroyo made a surprise visit of the site venue where delegates come to register and also where some of the Government and the Business leaders will also hold talks and bilateral issue discussions.
